  • Simple, practical steps to follow
  • A place to ask questions as many times as needed, and be honest about worries or frustrations

She was created by INSTINCT®’s dog behavior experts to make real behavior help accessible to every family.

WHAT AILA CAN HELP WITH

Aila is trained to support a wide range of behavior issues, including:

  • Fear, anxiety, aggression and reactivity issues
  • Separation anxiety & alone-time issues
  • Jumping, pulling, arousal and impulse control challenges
  • Barking, digging, destructive behavior
  • Puppy biting, house training, crate training, socialization
  • Exercise, enrichment, meeting breed needs
  • Stress reduction and overall wellbeing
  • Daily routines and environment adjustments

If something requires human attention, Aila will tell you, and help you connect with a coach.

If your dog’s assessment shows significant safety concerns, Aila will automatically pause and involve a human behavior expert before continuing. Your wellbeing and your dog’s safety always come first.

How Aila Works

Our Process for Lasting Behavior Change

I. Deep Understanding

Aila starts with a comprehensive behavior assessment — the same one our human behavior consultants at INSTINCT.

It captures up to 800 data points about your dog’s history, routines, relationships, environment, health considerations, and goals — so your plan fits your real life.

II. Multiple expert perspectives

Before Aila creates your plan, your assessment is reviewed through seven expert lenses (“The Council”) to reduce blind spots, improve safety, and strengthen recommendations. Just like our interdisciplinary teams at INSTINCT.

III. Steady Guidance

Aila turns the Council’s insights into clear, practical next steps, and supports you as you go – just like our human behavior experts.

Ask questions, get unstuck, and adjust the plan with calm, judgment-free guidance that fits your dog and your life.

A Collaborative Partner With Your Trainer

Aila is designed to support your training journey, whatever that looks like.

If you’re working with an INSTINCT coach, they can add session notes, new missions, and updated recommendations directly into your Aila account. Aila uses these live updates to keep your plan aligned with your ongoing training.

If you’re working with a trainer outside of INSTINCT, you can upload their lesson notes too. As long as the guidance follows humane, evidence-based best practices, Aila prioritizes your trainer’s recommendations above her previous suggestions — so everything stays consistent and connected.

Aila becomes a steady bridge between training sessions, helping you stay on track and make progress day by day.

You can use Aila entirely on your own, or alongside a trainer — whatever fits your needs.
