Jen’s career with animals began in veterinary medicine, where she worked her way from kennel technician to veterinary assistant and client care representative. After fostering several special needs pups and returning to veterinary medicine in 2020, Jen realized her true passion was helping dogs with “big feelings”. Jen joined Instinct in 2023, and as Lead Canine Care Technician had a pivotal role in the provision of in-facility services. Known for her stellar handling skills, she now specializes in in-home training and behavior consulting, with particular interest in puppy socialization, life skills, leash walking, and behavioral challenges such as intra-household aggression and reactivity toward dogs, people, and vehicles. Outside of work, Jen enjoys macrame and taking long, leisurely hikes with her canine companion—a gentleman who prefers to keep things slow and steady.
