Kaley is a full-time dog trainer at Instinct Nashville, working with dogs in our board and train camp programs. Kaley also works with board certified veterinary behaviorist Dr. Beth Strickler as a Behavior Assistant where she guides and coaches families on how to teach their canine companions a variety of skills. Kaley has experience working with a wide range of breeds and ages, and is skilled in life skills, manners, and behavior modification with the goal of helping families live healthy, harmonious lives together with their dog companions. Kaley has been working towards obtaining her CPDT-KA certification and will sit for the exam in September 2021. She holds a BS in Anthropology from Middle Tennessee State University and has worked as a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner for over 5 years within the mental health and substance abuse field. She regularly applies the skills she has practiced in that field, such as motivational interviewing and empathy, to help dog guardians elicit positive behavioral change in their lives with their pet companions.
