Join New York City's only puppy class with rolling enrollment - our curriculum is structured so that you can start any week!  Instinct Puppy Kindergarten is fun, positive, and effective. Enrollment includes:

  • 1 Private Puppy Session. We'll meet with you one-on-one at our training studio to walk you through housetraining, crating, chewing, whining, and any other behavior issues you'd like help with. We'll also provide specific advice tailored to your individual pup's personality and your future training goals.

  • 3 Group Puppy Classes. Socialize your puppy with other puppies and safe adult dogs (an important part of puppy raising, and it's a benefit you'll only find at Instinct!), teach basic obedience commands and good manners, and build confidence during these fun, positive sessions. You'll help your puppy navigate all sorts of objects, including puppy-sized agility equipment; get comfortable being handled and picked up; to be careful with his teeth; and to settle quietly when needed. You will also learn how to: properly read your dog and other dogs; give clear, appropriate feedback and direction; build good habits; problem solve common puppy issues; and develop a strong, loving relationship.

Cost: $250 +tax; $150 +tax for rescue puppies

Instinct Puppy Development teaches puppies confidence, self-control, and patience, and prepares them for formal training at age 5 months.
One-on-one private puppy sessions take place in your home and at our Training & Rehabilitation Center. We offer custom instruction based on your puppy's individual personality. At your home, we'll help with leash introductions, crate training, housetraining, chewing, play-biting, basic handling and people socialization. At our training studio, your puppy will have the chance to play one-on-one with our Instinct Helper Dogs and build confidence and trust as you help them navigate utility/agility obstacles.
Cost: $150 +tax per session

Do you have a busy schedule? Would you like to ensure that your puppy receives the best possible introduction to city life from two highly trained  and experienced dog professionals?

We provide full-time puppy raising for puppies ages 8-16 weeks. During their stay with us, puppies live in a loving home environment with TWO professional trainers and two Instinct Helper Dogs, and are never left alone for more than 3 hours at a time. While living with us, your puppy will be fully housetrained and will be taught good habits and manners that will last a lifetime. They will accompany us to our Training Center and will be socialized to city sights and sounds, children, people of different sizes and ethnicities, and lots of different dogs in a safe, controlled manner.

You'll receive regular photo and video updates, and we'll take your puppy to your home for weekly bonding visits.
