Instinct Dog Training NYC provides professional dog training services in New York City. We offer board & train programs, private dog obedience training and dog behavior modification training at our Real World Training Center in Manhattan, accessible to the following areas of New York City: Upper East Side dog training, Upper West Side dog training, Harlem dog training, Midtown dog training, Murray Hill dog training, Chelsea dog training, East Village dog training, Lower East Side dog training, West Village dog training, Greenwich Village dog training, Soho dog training, Little Italy dog training, Chinatown dog training, Tribeca dog training, Financial District dog training; Brooklyn dog training; Queens dog training; Bronx dog training; Long Island dog training; and New Jersey dog training.
Available to all graduates, this class focuses on preparing to take the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. Exercises include practicing Sit/Stay, Down/Stay, Loose Leash Walking and Recall, politely greeting strangers, being mannerly around other dogs, and staying composed around various distractions. CGC testing takes place approximately every 6 weeks.

This 45-minute group class is very beneficial for all dogs, including those who need to work on their socialization skills around other dogs, as well as for dogs who are nervous or shy around new people. We begin with a 10-minute obedience warm-up, then let dogs socialize with one another off-leash in a controlled, properly supervised environment. You'll learn to read the behavior cues and signals of different dogs, learn how and when to give your dog time-outs for inappropriate behavior, when to praise and reward, and when to remove them from a tense situation. For dogs working on human socialization, we incorporate specific exercises to encourage your dog to investigate and seek attention from other dog owners.

*Please note: Some dogs are not suitable for our group off-leash socialization class. For such dogs, we can schedule private socialization sessions. During these private sessions, you will be given specific direction as your dog is introduced one at a time to anywhere from 3 to 8 trained dogs of varying personalities and temperaments. Private socialization sessions cost $100 +tax and last approximately 45 minutes.
Our favorite group class! Learn about, compete for and earn AKC competition Rally & Obedience titles through our AKC Competition Class. This advanced class, available exclusively to our Alumni, builds teamwork and trust while offering you & your dog a fun new challenge.
Cost: $20 +tax per class

Ready for a new challenge? Put your dog to work with this 6-week course that covers working-style soft-mouth retrieval and scent detection. Teach your dog to retrieve keys, coins, your TV remote and more ("Take It!); while also teaching them to use their powerful nose to follow a scent trail and locate hidden objects ("Find It!").
Cost: $350 +tax for 6-week course;
